Company History
Vincento Payment Solutions Ltd. was formed in December 2006 with
the mission of providing an electronic issuing and payment solution
to customers and merchants.
In 2007, the company identified its first product as an online
eAccount and MasterCard prepaid card and by the start of 2008 had
begun product development.
In March 2008, the Financial Services Authority granted Vincento
its Electronic Money Issuer License (ELMI), and later that year in
May, Vincento became a Principal MasterCard Member.
In November 2008, Vincento completed its first restricted loop
transaction, with the first MasterCard network transaction
occurring in Jan 2009.
The Cactus eAccount and MasterCard was launched in the UK on 4th
February 2009 and rebranded as Kalixa on 2nd November 2009.
In November 2009, Vincento was launching in Germany, followed by
Italy in Q2 2010, and with five more European countries to
come.
