Kalixa is a combined online eAccount and prepaid MasterCard.
Online eAccount
The Kalixa eAccount allows customers to store funds in an
electronic wallet and use them in transactions made on the websites
of online merchants who have integrated Kalixa into their payment
system.
Customers can load funds into their eAccount using a wide variety
of methods, including transfer from a debit or credit card,
transfer from another electronic wallet, bank transfer (via
internet banking or over the counter) or by cheque.
Prepaid MasterCard
The Kalixa prepaid MasterCard allows customers to use funds from
their eAccount anywhere in the world that accepts MasterCard,
online or on the high street.
The Chip & PIN Kalixa Card can be used to make payments via
a terminal in a retail environment, over the phone using the
16-digit card number and CVC number, or over the internet. Online
transactions are further protected by MasterCard's
SecureCodeTM system.
Customers may also use their Kalixa Card to withdraw cash from
any cash machine displaying the MasterCard acceptance mark.
Online Account Management
Customers can log in to their eAccount online and view details
of all their transactions regardless of whether they were made via
eAccount, or prepaid MasterCard.
